Flickr: Muy bueno para ser cierto

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

HyperLink

Wednesday, May 11th, 2005

Shits Happens

What to write in this post? that’s the question, right now I’m so pissed about everything on my life, real life if you are asking… specially in my job, since my boss has been a dumbshit, yes I don’t care if you’re reading ‘boss’, this is how I feel right now. Lets say things at home are not good as I expected, there’s some tension there, and about to be kicked out from there, like I care, I would prefer to live on the streets than standing more of that bullshit. Though, this is not going to be one of the lenghty post i tend to write, when i describe something about my day or some event. The blog hasn’t been updated because, again, I don’t know what way to take with this, seriously, this is the point where I look around and I don’t know what to do. Nothing interesting on my life, I guess.

Hoy no

Thursday, October 7th, 2004

P.D. No estoy ebrio

Odd

Friday, August 13th, 2004

Just today i feel like every single day in this week very odd, i dunno why?. Last weeks were a total bunch of shit, but for some weird reason this one was kinda a little quiet and peaceful, very very peaceful. Is the fact i need more stress on my life of what? or is it just i’m becoming a workaholic? that’s i question i asked to myself everyday since this week… Everyone else feels like this way sometimes?

Oh the humanity!!

Ok, i think we have enough of this reality-shows, from ugly—the ugliest you can see on this earth—transformed by the arts of surgery, a group of homosexual men that change the dress-up of a heterosexual guy, a group of kids willing to be rich and famous singing very random songs, or a group of young people being filmed 24/7 to see their daily routines and many others.

Well, now this sick people is doing a new one, yeah, “Gana la verde”, that show who humiliates hispanic people. Instead giving cash prizes, changes of look or even fame, they offer “the opportunity” to get a green card. Yeah, a valued between $500 and $10000 USD legal counsel, but not guarantee of you will get “La verde” no, so at the end the person that wins the prize will be like the last person on contest who loses.

What is it like? Is just a few hundreds of contestants that are willing to eat burritos crammed with live worms, jump off high-speed trucks or wash skyscraper windows in exchange for a year’s legal help in speeding up their visa or green card cases.

A real shame, to create a false hope on this people, where are we going with this shows anyway?

Google this… Google that… Google!!… GOOOOOGLE!!!

Thursday, June 24th, 2004

Have you noticed that the last entries on the site were from Google. That’s because it’s becoming very popular, and anyone who types about Google get more visits ;)… i just did an experiment on a forum who i visit in a regular basis, i pasted an gmail invite on my sig, and after 5 minutes this expired.

And why Google is popular?

The reasons:

  1. Search engine: it’s proven that when you’re searching for something in google, many times you find it immediately.
  2. Pagerank: Nowadays for an owner’s site it’s important to have a very high “Pagerank” because he/she/they know many people tend to make a search on google :P
  3. GMail: Who doesn’t want a GMail account? Who can’t resist to have 1000 MB of space for inbox? This has become a trendy accessory for every single geek.
  4. AdSense: Did you see many people prefer to see an AdWord instead seeing an big-heavy-filesized advert? Of course for the companies, this kind of advertisement is very cheap and of course effective or in a few words, the well known “Bueno, bonito y barato” in Mexico.

So… after making a personal list of why google is popular, you’re probably asking dear reader why i’m posting this. Like 2 or 3 weeks ago, the boom of google was because of GMail, and the invites, just look at your favorite blog, and you’re gonna see at least once post titled with “GMail invites”.

And finally, my last argument would be
“OMG GOOOOGLE!!!”

PS. I don’t hate Google, but i know someone is starting to hate it :P

/me wants update this site

Friday, June 18th, 2004

Ok, apparently just everyone was expecting for updates on the site, sorry! my bad! cuz the time i invest on my work is just like everthing, not to mention the 4 hours of sleep i have and the 2 hours i got for food/personal clean/transportation… in this moment i can’t concentrate on the work i have for a client who’s a real annoy and is calling over and over and over begging for the updates on his site. Anyways this have been a crazy week and not to mention i have a lot of work and i just can’t concentrate, due the fact is a bunch of stuff and many variable changing that i must have to do.

Anyways, this week happening nothing and everything…

On Monday, a earthquake shake the entire Mexico City, with a intensity of 6.3 Richter degrees and the epicentre was supposedly on Oaxaca, other people said was on Guerrero, no one is sure where. The whole stuff occured at 5.50pm-6.00pm i don’t remember very well, but it was freaky…

Tuesday, i have to woke up at 6am to get to the farthest point on whole Mexico City who’s Barranca del Muerto and it’s about 1.30-1.45 hours to get there, and you only have two options

  1. Take the subway who’s almost touching the center of the earth and you have to walk a lot
  2. Take the bus, and try not to die in the neverending traffic of the zone

Well the thing is i have an appointment with a client on this zone, and this meeting least about 2 and a half hours, and one word for this boring

And of course not to mention the olympic torch was on the way, just simply the whole city goes crazy about this and with the feeling “I need to get somewhere to see this fucking torch”, but whatever, i’m not going in too much detail about this…

Wednesday and Thursday… someone was hitting on me with a whip to get the work done, and an argument with a random client, so not much to tell about this days…

And today, i dunno what to say, someone stole me 20 dollars the only money i have available, and i don’t have the card to get more money from the ATM so screw it… i’m expecting someone in the office lend me some money hahaha…

The last thing is, i wanna let you an interesting link, more web experimentation, my favorite kind of site, it doesn’t use Flash, so you must have enabled JavaScript to see it, don’t worry it won’t hurt your computer, i promise :D

Umm… Inactive Week

Saturday, June 12th, 2004

The site looks so dead this week with no many updates on this, so the week totally sucks except for today, the most remarkable of the week was my lil sister get drunk again… that bitch… anyways, and for the second time i have to handle that, she was so fucking annoying this time, my mom come home and then she immediatly knows someone was drunk, and of course, my sister is grounded again…

Today, and thank to Pieter, i get my gmail account, thank you so much Pieter, you made my day :P i was desperate looking for someone to invite me to this. For the curious people who wants to know what’s the address is agkamai [at] gmail [dot] com, and now i have 1GB for my inbox yay!

My college exam was today about 12pm, and i was concerned about because i didn’t bring my identification and they need it just to know you’re the guy who’s presenting the exam. I think it was easy, i finished it in about 1.5 hrs out of the 3hrs we have, 120 questions with multiple option and the subjects that i remember were Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry(spell?), Biology, Physics, Literature, Spanish(the same as the English subject but of course in spanish), Universal History, Mexico History and Geography. Not objective as the UAM exam but whatever, i hope i get accepted on this, wish me luck…

And about the Photos section, i’m working on it to make it without the tables and add some stuff like comments to each photo.

Kill Bill Vol. 2

Sunday, May 23rd, 2004

Nah, you think i’m gonna talk about this great movie in the entire post, well no i’m not, i mean, yea i’m gonna do a mention of this movie, but i don’t have any other good title for this entry, and of course i have to get done a lot of things on this Saturday, my only of two free days what i have bu this moment, probably when i get in on college, again my only free day would be Sunday, anyways, i have to woke up at 8 am, thing that i didn’t do because of i was so fucking tired and i dindn’t wake up in that moment, it was about 9 am, and i was like “Ok, i have to wake up cuz i’m late!!!” i have to get ready about 10am, so i have to do everything fast as hell.

Well at 10am i must been in my private classes for the college exam, because the first one is going to be on 12th June and the next one i dunno when is going to be yet, i have to wait till 6th June to know when is going to be and what do i need for the registration.

So after my private classes i have to run to my nearest IFE place (who is where you can get your Identification) so i been i there about 1 hour and a half, so fucking boring a lot of people making the queue, so i have to wait a lot of time on there to finally get a confirmation that i will get a new one in 30 days.

Then about 4pm i get in the movie theater to see my most expected movie of the year, Kill Bill Vol. 2. In Mexico, has a very bad translation nothing to do with the original one, but what can i do?, nothing those translator bastards doesn’t know anything about put titles on movies. Anyways, the movie was great, the same quality as the first one i must say and i don’t know how people dare to say this second one is better than the first one, idiots, is the same movie, just this guy Quentin Tarantino want to make it more interesting cut it in two parts, with a LOTR style, you know, trying to be a trendwhore, but anyways, good movie, i enjoyed it and it worthed the $15 dollars i expense on it :)

Sunday

Sunday, May 16th, 2004

So today was more relaxing that the last one, today just simply i did nothing but assist to my private classes. So i think you’re curious about what subjects they are huh?, well i need to learn again the concepts of geometry, i hate geometry, in fact, i didn’t pass geometry, i cheated on this subject, and now im dealing with this again and of course i have to study about this, this pisses me off.

In the other side this teacher is kinda cool, very nice and i undestand better the concepts and formulas with her, yes a her. Of course she ask me before we start the classes, What’s your story?

I get in on UNAM High School, obviously, i finished it clean, with the 3 obligatory years to make more easy the transfer to the college, who also is from UNAM. Then you need to fill an online form to get an admission, because, when you study on the UNAM college, you don’t need to do an exam, but if you’re not, then you need to do an exam. So i fill the form to get an admission to the School of Sciences and get a degree on Computer Sciences, and other detail you have the option to put one more just in case you don’t get the admission for the first choice, who i did again for School of Sciences with a degree on Actuary.

So guess what?, i get the admission to the degree in Actuary, and when i get the news about that, i just get depressed and angry, because it was a sure thing to get the admission for the first option. With no option i studied 1 of the 10 semesters for Actuary degree, i just quit to this and get a job.

And now im working with a company which its main job is to do web solutions (for enterprises who doesn’t know a shit of the internet stuff) and offer web-hosting, there are very important clients, and i get well paid

Then now im doing the exam to get an admission to the same degree for the first time in UNAM and for the second time in UAM.

That was the story, and then she told not to worry is not that bad that’s just simple things nothing to worry. Immediatly she told me that was wondering there was a lot of pressure from my family, and she was right, but don’t worry people, im going to study this next fall, so don’t worry ;). So is all, the rest of the day i was making more adjustments on this site to keep it very neat and make it a cross-browser site :P, anyways i wish you a nice week.

2 days without writing

Wednesday, May 12th, 2004

Why? Because i dont have the time to write anything interesting in the blog, so the two last days was a bunch of work, and some things that happened, like the SMS messages that cost me about $25 dollars, for what?, well i heard from someone else that there was a contest that you could win a mobile, so i register to this contest, and guess what?, for each message that you sent to this guys, they charge you about $1.5 dollars, so i didn’t noticed that until this person told me about the cost of each message, so i stop sending messages and check my credit on my cellphone, and now i have about $10 dollars in cellphone credit to make calls and send messages.

And yesterday, just happen that someone on the TF’s IRC write that the game Guild Wars was available, when it was planned to be available Today, Wednesday, so i tested it and i really like it, i can’t wait for the final version of this game, because if you didn’t noticed, this game is still on an alpha phase.

I think that’s it on those two days, not much to tell about today, probably later post something interesting, but hey, the day is still beginning so lets the hours go.
