E3 2005: Más del backwards compatibility del Xbox 360

Currently, the company is only promising that Xbox 360 will be compatible “top-selling” Xbox games, and not the entire catalog of first generation games. The problem, apparently, is that Xbox 360 runs on a completely different hardware platform than the original Xbox, and Microsoft will have to custom-create software fixes, or shims.
Lo cual se puede traducir en que solo algunos juegos, los que más han vendido, serán compatibles con el Xbox 360, ya que el hardware que maneja el Xbox es completamente distinta a la que maneja el Xbox 360 por lo que tendría que crear alguna especie de arreglos en el software, algo así como un remake de los juegos más populares que no sería muy bueno a menos que los juegos en cuestión trajeran nuevas características.
