iPod Shuffle

iPod Shuffle

I have just let the time flow a little bit, to think what exactly write here, concerning about that really neat and tiny new product from Apple. You know, it has no display, no clickwheel, the regular stuff you could find in a normal-sized iPod — of course the 4th generation one. Yeah, it has that shuffle feature who everybody loves. It looks like a pregnancy test, or a tampon, or something else, because of its size — which is almost big as a pack of gum.

Talking more about tech specs, the maximum storage is 1GB, which is around 250 songs… 250 songs!! around 14.5 hours of music — based on an estimated of 4MB/3.5 minutes per song and calculated by the official tech specs from Apple, where 1GB = 1,000 MB. A pretty sweet deal for a flash-memory-based player.

The battery just lasts ~12 hours, so you missed 2.5 hours based on the estimated of course.

The weight of this little piece is less than one ounce, very practical, ~4 less ounces than the normal iPod, and ~2.6 less ounces than the iPod mini, in a few words, less annoying when you’re jogging, or making excercise.

So the point I’m getting is, stop complaining about this product, it’s just perfect for a specific audience, included myself, because I don’t like to wear a big fucking brick. It’s perfect for me at least, when I need to transport from home to my job, yeah, I take the subway and the bus, around 1 hour is needed for that — Don’t ask why 1 hour, the average time for transportation in here is around 30 mins. it’s a huge city. I don’t really feel like seeing the display, I just like go random with the playlist and let it surprise me. And probably the last reason will be that I don’t feel like having all my music library with me. So there, you know is cool, you love it, and stuff, so stop bitching. THE END
